TROUBLESHOOTING Q & A HERE:
If you are unable to view your videos, here are a few steps that will allow you to troubleshoot the problem.

I’m not able to view the video
Plug-in Flash 9 is required. You may download it here.

The password that I used last year to access my videos does not work.
This is perfectly normal! In order to protect users’ privacy, messages sent last year by Santa Claus are no longer available. A new password will be sent to you for each video that you create.

I am using the Safari 4 (or Chrome 3.0) browser and the page does not upload properly.
Simply “refresh” the page to ensure that PNP will be displayed properly. This is a known problem that we are trying to solve.

Why is my system slow when I am trying to access your site?
A- Your Internet connection too slow to support PNP.
-
At 1Mb/sec. (super extreme high speed), it takes approximately 20 seconds.
-
At 500Kb/sec. (very high speed), it takes approximately 40 seconds.
-
At 200Kb/sec. (high speed), it takes approximately 1 minute and 40 seconds.
-
At 100Kb/sec. (economic high speed), it takes approximately 3 minutes and 20 seconds.
-
At 4Kb/sec. (56K phone connection), it takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
-
At 2Kb/sec. (deficient phone connection of 56K/28K), it takes approximately 3 hours.
B- Your computer is not powerful enough (recommended configuration).

After creating videos, direct links are sent to the email address that you provided. You may use these direct links to access new videos in order to view them from other computers and through the home page (santa.sympatico.ca) with our password and login (email).

Why am I unable to upload my picture?
Make sure that you are complying with formats supported by PNP, namely .jpeg, .gif and .png. The size of your picture is also very important. Do not exceed the maximum recommended size for your picture, i.e. 3 Mb.

What happens with pictures that we downloaded in the application?
They are definitely destroyed from servers once the Portable North Pole operation is over.

Does my video remain invisible to others?
As a matter of fact, if you are keeping your videos private, they will remain private. However, if you wish to share your private videos with your family, friends or colleagues, they may circulate them using the URL (unique address) that you gave them in your email. Therefore, your videos may remain private, but that depends on you!

How do I know if you have my child’s name?
Simply write it in our form. Remember that if you are looking for “Jake” and get no result, try with “Jacob”. We often have the full version of a name.

My child’s name is not there. Why?
You may be writing this name in a different way but with the same pronunciation as another name that appears in our list. We recommend that you search the name by writing it differently. You may also use a wildcard character (namely an asterisk), but this will work only if two or more letters are preceding it. By searching with letters “Chr*”, you will be getting Christina, Christine, Christophe, etc. Despite this and even if the name that you are looking for cannot be found in our list, write it in the appropriate location and you will be able to create a Santa Claus video without any problem.

I did not receive a confirmation email?
This email may have been blocked from your mailbox. We suggest that you check in your unwanted email file where it might be found. Otherwise, when you finish answering PNP questions, write down the password generated by PNP as it appears on the site page. You may recover your video using this password and your email address at santa.sympatico.ca

My video block or audio elements of Santa Claus’ voice are missing.
Send your password and your email address and/or a copy of your unique URL address at support@perenoelportable.ca with a problem description.
