last month I bought several Dole Caeser salad bags with dressing and croutons and parmesan in bag. First one was good, enough for 2 very large salads.  The 2nd time I bought one, it had an unusually large amount of Romaine lettuce ribs and pieces with no green on them at all,  a small bowlful in total of unusable pieces.     I ended up with one good salad and just a bit left over.  I called the number on the bag and reached a polite girl who took a bunch of info that was printed on bag and said I would receive a coupon for a free salad in the mail.  The response included 2 coupons for two free salads and two 75cent off coupons.  Great response from Dole.  Hope they do some better checks on their romaine lettuce in their salads.

I've had the same issue before with these bagged salads, but never thought to call the company. I will need to remember this for next time!

That is the right thing to do,you remember about the issue I had with Pand G they sent me a huge box of their products,they appreciate the feed back.

The problem i see is, she is going to send u a coupon, yes? Well u paid for it already by purchasing 2 bags and only have 1 usuable bag.I love when CS say they are going to send a coupon for a free item....People i already paid so its not free!

Laura, I agree but normally I just chew at dh about the product and get nothing so this time I left dh watching tv and called the company to make my comment. We as customers should use our "customer satisfaction guarantee" more often.

It never occurs to me to complain to a company when I don't like their product. I'll have to remember that.
A while ago I had some Dole bananas and has terrible heartburn each time I ate one. I've never had an issue with bananas before. The next time I bought Chiquita and had no issues, so I decided to not buy Dole bananas again... but maybe I should have contacted them.

Some products have a satisfaction guarantee on the box or package. We consumers should tell the company when we have a legitimate complaint & are not pleased with a product. It is a good idea to keep your receipts for when this happens.

I guess it's always been my nature to just go away quietly if I'm not happy. I really don't like to complain. It's not about confrontation - I don't mind sticking up for myself if I believe I'm right about something - I guess I've been around a lot of complainers and they get to me, so I try not to be one.
