I love this store! The employees are usually very friendly and willing to help or make suggestions. It is open late for those late night runs to the drug store for medicine. And they have such a large variety of stuff it is amazing! I also love the shoppers optimum card and the price cuts that they have a lot.

I like their Optimum reward program but some of their prices are right off the scale.

They used to have butter at $2.97 all the time but then all the supermarkets started lowering their price on butter too.

They are just tearing down some houses to start the construction of a Shoppers in Prince Edward County. This one will be only 10 miles away instead of the others at 15 miles.

I have mixed feelings about Shoppers. They have some good prices on things. One time they had canned cat food o sale and no stated quantity limit. I loaded up my cart (I feed strays) and when I got to the cash the cashier wouldn't sell me that much. She offered me 24 cans which was nothing so I told her if she wanted to put it all back she could. I turned around and went to another Shoppers and they sold me as much as I wanted. Sometimes I don't find them all that helpful or customer-oriented.

I think they are very customer oriented as at least in my Shoppers they are.there must have been a reason why she wouldn,t see you that much, maybe there was a limit,I would have politely put the cans back myself.

Polly - as I wrote in my original post, there was no limit in the print ad or on a sign. The cashier admitted that and said she didn't want an empty shelf and that's why she wouldn't sell them me. Personally I thought she didn't want the work of scanning and bagging the order. If I had been in the wrong I would have certainly politely put the cans back myself.

Their point program is the best value going. Their regular prices are a bit high, but if you shop the sales and stock up, it works out well. My best experience was redeeming points for $200 of free stuff.
