Recently while I was in Boston my sister-inlaw and wife were eating the Post Great Grains for breakfast. Outside of coffee and toast, or a danish, I don't eat breakfast, but this time I had a bowl of this cereal. It was very good, and I liked it very much, especially the blueberrys, and pomegranates. I have to admit that this a great tasting cereal, so much so that my wife who is Honey Nut Cheerios fan, switched and bought the Post Great Grains cereal instead. As for myself, I've been eating cereal instead of toast in the morning, just for the time being.

I don't eat cereal... I have to say, though, that this looks delicious. I have never heard of whole grain amaranth(ancient grains)???

I have a coupon for this too! I can't wait to try. But I just wish they wouldn't put any extra sugar in it.

987 - I hear you. I had no idea what amaranth was either. Hadn't seen it listed before. Definitely tasty cereal.
Monique - Definitely recommend it. I was tempted to buy a box last week, but the price had gone back up to $4.99 or so. I was hoping it would be a dollar or more cheaper. They had an in-store coupon (good until next week) for $0.50 off, plus I had another $0.75 coupon to combine it with, but I passed as I've got other cereal and food to finish off, and I'm really frugal, lol =)

This is one of the few cereals that meets the fibre percentage one should have for breakfast (35%) but doesn't taste like cardboard.

Well I'm late to respond but I tried the other kind, I think with pecans and it was very good!

I don't eat sweeteners of any kind 95% of the time, but when I'm being bad I eat MiniWheats for breakfast. However, this cereal sounds really good, so I will pick up a box and stash it away for the next time I fall off the wagon.

Thanks for the good feedback, all.
I noticed Superstore (west) had an in-store coupon for it this past month. Believe it ran for about 3 - 4 weeks or so ... $1 off ... I was hoping to have a manufacturer's coupon to combine it with as well (as I did back in 2011). Believe they were at full price so I held off for the time being. I was able to price-match on the healthy Nature's Path Eco-Path heritage flakes cereal (907g) which I've bought in years past. Able to price-match with Thrifty Foods as they were on for a solid deal.

Seems like the cereal is holding steady at $4.99 of late, and I believe the in-store coupon is finished now.
I believe it can get down to $2.99 - 3.99 and then's a good time to combine it with a manufacturer's coupon (from one of the sites like Websaver or Save).
