Well, I decided to purchase a new set of headphones from a very generic dollarstore about 2 weeks ago; lo-and-behold, they broke with about a week of use. I guess you get what you pay for, unfortunately. 

hmm my friend recent;l bought some $tore headphone and they have be holding together quite nicely. he probably got the only decent pair there

$tore is good for little kids junk mostly. Everything else breaks pretty fast.

You get what you pay for...there is something to be said for quality. And most times it comes with a manufacturers replacement or repair guaruntee...so spend your money wisely.

dollar store head phones not a good idea

I actually just bought some from a dollar store too and they lasted one use. I didn't expect them to be great but one time?

I bought headphones at the dollar store for $1 but I bought them with the intent of only using them for the tv's on an airplane. They work very nicely for that purpose and have lasted numerous trips and being jammed into carry on luggage etc. Good value for me so far !

I love headphones that are cheap! I have bought some from the Dollar Store before and they worked great!

Alas, the revival of dead topics strike again! To update, the $9.99 ones are excellent and kicking still.

The dollar stores do not sell quality products... you are lucky it is lasts one week.
