Jeremy Lin is a starting point guard for the New York Knicks. He had started the year on an unguaranteed contract. He had to stay in New York, but he was unable to secure a lease. Good thing his brother Josh lives in New York City, thus he lived in the living room of his brother and sleeping on the couch for the past 6 weeks. He must have enjoyed the road games, at least he got a bed to sleep in despite having to share the room.
Playing well the last couple of games, the Knicks rewarded him with a secured contract, maybe he could get a raise for next year and have enought income to afford an apartment in New York City.

He's got determination for sure. I'm 6 foot and find couches challenging to sleep on; can't imagine his discomfort. Hope he makes it in the NBA.

Interesting story. Not the greatest sleep when you sleep on a couch.

It's funny, I do some of my best sleeping on a couch.

Leswill - Yes - he's doing a great job making a name for himself in NY. He didn't get enough time in Golden State ... so cool seeing him get his shine in The Big Apple (very tough sports market, as we all know).

51Rocker- wow. you can sleep well on a couch. That is something.

You bet Fluffy. Put something boring on TV and I'm fast asleep in no time.

51 - I'm surprised here too ... at almost 6'4" I can pass out on one too ... I must adjust my legs or something. Plus the pillow or two and blanket beforehand, lol.

Thanks for the videos--I really enjoy watching basketball. As for the sleeping on the couch, I don't see how he wouldn't develop aches in his back and whatnot, especially considering his height.

Yes, I agree that a couch sleep can be very gratifying especially with the drone of the TV in the background. I just can't take it for very long (no pun intended). I digress; were we talking about a basketball player or what?

51Rocker - you are lucky. I could never fall asleep like that. You never know how lucky you are to be able to fall asleep easily, until you have trouble falling asleep.

that's all behind him now- he can afford to get his own place, with a king size bed!

I think he made a good call. too many people rub out and spend money with no garenteeed of a permanent contract.

He had enough smarts not to spend something he did not have. Even with a $800,000.00, he still will not have enough to buy a condo
