Dyson Animal is the one to have if you have pets. Not that expensive, watch for a sale in the spring at Home Sense, and the other box store places in the malls. We got one two years ago for 469.99! Yes, and I love ti, with two very furry cats, it cleans up in a jiffy! Gotta have one. Forget the built in vacuums...they suck...nothing.

It looks great but it does not vaccum amazingly

I'm sure glad you told us about your Dyson Polly as I have been thinking about getting one but am tired of spending money on vacuum's that don't work as well as one should. Do the Dyson's have hepa-filters?

My younger sister bought one on Boxing Day, and she's been singing praises about how great her's is, so much so that my wife is thinking of getting one.

I've entered a few contests to win one but they've accidentally given it to someone else.

Is Dyson vacuums really all that they claim them to be?

I bought the Shark Infinity Lite vacuum on sale at Canadian Tire in April 2009. Really like it alot - and my mom had bought one months prior and gave it the thumbs-up, as did online reviewers on Canadian Tire and other sites, etc.

I wanted a Dyson when I was replacing my old vac and we'd just had berber carpet installed. When I mentioned it to the installer, he said it would void my carpet warranty b/c the suction was so powerful. One loose thread on the berber going around the beater bar would unravel it very fast. I chickened out and got a Miele canister vac and am satisfied. Very quiet and hasn't eaten my carpet (yet)

I don't know anyone that has one. I am quite satisfied with my vaccum, and do not have intentions on getting a Dyson if and when mine wears out.

Have a Dyson "animal" and it picks up pet hair effortlessly. Best yet, if you have pets that shed a lot.

I have a Dyson. I had a Meile, which was great, and lasted over 10 years, but the bags are expensive. The Dyson is better for me because the filter is washable and there are no bags to buy.
