the smaller stores are better imo. |

I agree, Roger. The shopping excursions take longer and are much more impersonal at the bigger box stores. Despite the occasional "deals" ... I find I end up using most of my time simply just scanning the aisles and doing some price comparisons in my head compared to the other stores I deal with more regularly. |

I have a walmart store very close to me. At one time it was suppose to convert into a supercentre but they changed there mind. I was very disappointed because sometimes I do not want to run from store to store. |

I find the prices hit/miss at the Supercentre. I visit the one a few minutes from work every 2 - 3 months or so (if I spot a deal or have coupons handy and know the price is right). Otherwise it's pretty much always Superstore for me. |

Im similar Evan - like my RC Superstore just because it has a better produce/ general grocery selection. Walmart is a once a month trip for us now - stock up on snack foods, check out clearance clothes/seasonal items etc - things you dont need as regularly. |

Guppy - I'm the same. I keep an eye out and try and figure out when to visit Walmart. It's neat having them so close together near work ... and both being open at 7am ... makes it very convenient as I'm in the Superstore by just after 7:05am. I find I visit Walmart more in/around the holidays ... but for the most part ... a combination of Superstore and Thrifty's, although I'd like to frequent/shop at No Frills and Extra Foods if they were in the area or convenient to get to. They've often got good deals from what I've seen posted sales-wise. |
