Well, the hub & I went to Kelsey's for lunch yesterday.  I wanted to take advantage of their free appitizer (when you join online, their k-klub.)  We have eaten at the Kelsey's in Ancaster, Ontario too many times to count, but it's been a year since we last visited.  We went to a different (closer) location, and I hate to say it... we were not impressed!

We had to wait to be seated, it was freezing in that front door & no hostess was around.  Finally, she came & I asked for a booth... she directed me to one side of the restaurant (the other 1/2 was closed.)  So we were seated & what did we have for a view, lol, a giant blue tarp (I'm guessing their patio furniture was under the tarp.)  We placed our order immediately & got the free 4 cheese spinach dip, rather quickly (awesome!)  I ordered from the lunch menu (15 minutes or it's free deal), the lemon pepper shrimp rigatoni & my hub oredered the philly cheese steak.  25 minutes have passed since we chowed down on our app. & we noticed the large table of girls that came in after us... were getting their food (we were still waiting.)  It finally came out, mine was oh so tasty, very good... but on the cold side.  My hub rec'd a tiny portion, with a tiny side salad (not what we expected for $13.49!)  The food was extremely tasty, but cold & small portions, so I doubt my hub will go back.  Regardless, we had a nice afternoon out together!

On the receipt, they ask for your feedback... I filled it out last night, lets see if we hear back from them!?

Yes... it was late & cold, We didn't want to make a scene, as it was getting very busy for lunch, but I knew I'd be emailing them! The food was very tasty, just would have been nice to be on the hot, even warm side, lol. The portion was fine for me, but my hub was not happy with the tiny portion he rec'd. it looked like it was a kiddies meal! Haha, oh well... we will see what the response back is. I guess even tho they share the same name... not every franchise holds the same standards?!

I hope you hear back from them and get a gift card or something. We had food we didn't enjoy at Kelsey's once and when our waiter noticed we didn't eat much of it he asked if there was a problem. We said we didn't like it too much and they took it off our bill. I was impressed.

Awesome jsmom92... that's great customer service... why would someone leave food (great call on their part!) We always enjoyed a different location of Kelseys... great customer service & fantastic food (so we never gave it much thought when we tried a more convenient location--- yet never ate there before.) The staff were acting like it was a Friday night, all giggles & chatter amonst themselves (I should have known there'd be trouble, lol.)

I´ve eaten at Kelsey´s a few times, and I´ve never had a bad experience. In fact the last time I went was in November and I used a $50.00 gift card that I won for taking one of their surveys. The food and service was quite good.

That's the experience we've always had, good (in Ancaster). We went to a different location & it wasn't close to the service & quality or food we normally get. We'll simply never eat at that location again (back to Ancaster!)

We've been there before for dinner a few times & I've been there for beer & wings with buddies after a game. It's always been good. I think they are a little pricey, no, alot pricey!

Well, got a call from the manager after filling out the "feedback" on the receipt. He said he was sending something in the mail, as my meal was supposed to be out in 15 mins or it's free & especially since it was cold. We have never had a problem at Kelsey's except that day. Either way, there was a quick response & we'll give it a try again.

We go to the one on the border of Oakville and Burlington on wing night. They are delicious.

I should have done an update... sorry, totally forgot! We did get something in the mail, a $25 gc & used it back on Family Day! We picked up our son on the way to the restaurant & the 3 of us had a fantastic lunch. We all had burgers & they were done to perfection! The server was friendly, he had the food out quickly (even tho it was packed!) It was a good dining experience... they way it used to be when we'd go to the Ancaster Kelsey's! :)
