Used my coupon for a freebie banana bread. The only one they had was bananas & chocolate, odd flavour combo. It was ok but would rather have had plain banana bread, did not like chocolate part. Not sure what the regular price is for this 100 g snack. Would not purchase.

Got these on sale at Canadian Tire after Christmas. I love chocolate covered almonds but these were dark chocolate and they are lasting a long time cuz I find them a bit bitter and only eat a few at a time. This may be a good thing cuz usually a bag of 225 g only lasts a day or 2 but these have been lingering for days. Would not buy dark chocolate ones again. (there were no milk chocolate ones left in store.)

Watched this movie on tv today, cute movie with lots of spoofs and lines for the adults to pick up on. Lots of familiar voices and a happy ending, what more could you ask for on a dreary rainy Jan 1st.

Had a great buffet dinner at Imperial Buffet on Eglington in Toronto. Buffet included all you wanted to eat crab legs and they just kept bringing more out. Regular price is 19.99 or 16.80 for seniors plus $1 extra for Dec 16-Jan2. Would definitely go back for supper again. Good sushi and desert selection too.

I'm always looking for a small plastic container to put those few pickles or dab of special salad dressing into so I searched out a product to fit the bill. Found these at Zellers, 4 reusable lidded containers (89 ml or 3 oz) than nest together to save space and go into microwave, dishwasher and freezer. The easy open snaptops lids ensure an airtight seal and snap into each other in storage. Lids are maroon colour. Cost $2.97 for 4. Should make the leftover job a little easier.

Bought a cooked apple with cinnamon pie from Independent store for 6.99. They had many cooked ones ready to choose from, little did I know that this was an extremely CRUNCHY apple pie. It may be the brand of apples used, doesn't say in list of ingredients but wish I had picked a blueberry pie, I know they are good. Had to zap each slice in microwave for about a minute just to soften the apples a bit. Dh didn't even want to eat any but finally gave in and had 2 pieces. Not exactly a hit in our house and won't buy apple again.

I got my free sample bar from Kashi, a crunchy bar and boy is it ever crunchy and very dry. Pack has 2 bars 20g each and it would be next to impossible to eat one without having a drink with it. I would not buy this product at all. 2 bars - cal 180, fat 6g, carbs 25g. There would be so many tastier things to eat for 25 carbs.

I used a Lean Cuisine $1 off coupon to buy this item. In past have tried a few of these sandwich products from Stouffers and would not buy again. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, Chicken Spinach & mushroom panini. It comes in one of those boxes that you unfold with silver sheet to brown it. It is open faced, not too much filling but enough, spinach should be more spaced out rather than 1 blob. I ate them open faced and it was a good quick meal for a buck. cal 330, fat 7g, carb 44g.

Bought theses 9inch tongs at Zellers, they are stainless steel l with silicone coverings on tips, stain resistant and heat resistant silicone. They are useful for using in non-stick frying pans. Paid $8.49 for them. Many of our pans get scratched up from using forks in them so this will extend their life. There was also a longer set for sale.

I got this cd from public library and was very disappointed in it. It was made in 2010 and the quality of Neil Diamond's voice is way off, most of the songs are not really sung but just said. I have enjoyed his singing in past but perhaps his time is over. Hallelujah pales in comparison to KD Lang's olympic version. I will not be playing this cd more that once and glad I did not purchase it.

This is dh's favourite cereal. He has tried several others that sound similar but he always asks me to pick up another Muslix instead. I don't eat cereal so this is based solely on his opinion. 2/3 cup serving has 210 cal, 4g fat, 135mg sodium, 40g carbs, 5g protein.

Had this for supper tonight and it was pretty good. Bought for $2.99 minus $1 coupon so for 2 bucks it was good deal. The picture on box is a bit misleading because all 6 pieces of chicken shown are all you get, it is mostly pasta once you mix it up. The sauce is very sweet as shown by 400 calories and 54 carbs, 12g fat, protein 18g. I added bit of soy sauce to it. For a quick meal it was good. I tried one of other flavours before with rice and liked this noodle one better.

I picked this dvd up at the local library, these have recently expanded their dvd offerings and now have many recent movies on "Fast Lane - 7day loan, no rewals, overdue fines 50cents per day). Hereafter with Matt Damon and directed by Clint Eastwood was a very good movie about the afterlife. There are 3 separate characters and situations that become united in the end. I don't remember hearing about this movie but enjoyed it.

I occasionally indulge in an ice cream bar from local PetroCan and my favourite both in price and taste is the Oh Henry with peanuts, caramel and chocolatey coating. It is made by Breyers and usually cost $2.69 with tax. per bar (110ml) cal 280, fat 19g, sodium 70mg, carb 26g. These seem high but don't we all deserve a tasty treat every once in awhile. Many of the other bars come and go for availability but this one is usually there for me to grab. Also I get few Petro points.

I shop most often at NoFrills - good prices and quality of food. Another good feature is their price-matching promise. Just bring in any competitor's flyer and they will match the price. They are a little longer doing it because they have to write it down manually on a sheet of paper but the savings are worth the wait.

Picked this book up at the library today, keep getting emails about cheap cruises so wanted to bone up on the subject. Thsi is a hefty 692 page book giving expert advice that saves you money, in-depth reviews of 271 cruise ships and info on how to find the best cruise for you, including facilities, food, service etc. The first section of book talks about everything you ever wanted to know about cruising and then second section gives detailed information on each individual ship. This should be a must before booking any cruise. We have never gone on a cruise but perhaps sometime in the future I will win one?????

NoFrills has their $1 deals on this week and I picked these up for a buck. 200g of baked Pita Crisps. They are small crisps just a biteful but good with cream cheese or piece of cheese on them. 0 trans fats and made with sunflower oil. Also baked / made in peanut-free facility. per 50g or 16 crisps - cal 220, fat 5g, sodium 320mg, carbs 38, fibre 1g. I'm not sure what the real price will be but they were a bargain for a buck.

I usually buy 100% whole grain Triscuit Thin Crisps but I had a coupon for a free box of my choice so decided to try something new. Roasted tomato and olive oil caught my eye. They have a very pronounced roasted tomato taste, nothing subtle. I eat them with either a piece of cheese or some cream cheese on them. The taste is too strong to just eat by itself, I want something to tone it down. Dh really likes them topped with havarti cheese, so would buy them again for him. Per 4 crackers - calories 80, fat 3g, sodium 95mg, carbs 13g, fibre 2g.

I have been buying this quick and easy product for several years. Six bags of the mix. each 30 grams come in the box. They are a tasty and easy snack option. The mix includes peanuts, raisins, dried cranberries & cashews. cal 150, fat 9g, sodium 55mg, carbs 14g. I usually pick them up at Walmart or PharmaPlus for under $3.

This is an instant dessert mix in a box. We have been using these for years for a quick dessert. Just add 1 cup of milk and use your electric mixer to turn it into a quick mousse. Its ready in 5 minutes and then chill. There are several flavors available but we have always gotten milk chocolate. Per 125ml - cal 100, fats 3g, cabs 15g.
