My dad has been using this product in recent months and has found it effective. He aggravated arthritic pain in one of his knees when we were on a bike ride, and Voltaren emulgel has helped lessen the pain he has endured since. He has visited his doctor for a 2nd opinion, and has done his best to limit the time spent since that may re-aggravate the region. He gave me a sample of the product as well in case I ever wanted to try it in the future if I ever needed to use it for any type of specified pain relief. Voltar...

Definitely not a fan of how the lasagna has bounced around in price over the years. Anywhere from $9.99 / 10.00 / 12.99 / 13.99 / 14.99 ...  they've been holding steady at $14.99 in recent months at Superstore (West) and it was nice to see them at $9.99 as of this Friday's current flyer week. Bought 2 of them when I was shopping. Good to have on hand ... consistently good. Plenty of cheese / noodles / broccoli / cauliflower, etc. I've been buying them for about 3.5 - 4 years or so. Always enjoy them as I ...

Global Currents was a documentary series which ran a few years ago. Like alot of documentary-styled series, it had intriguing subject matter. I caught a few episodes years back, and then happened to see the series listed in the menu guide on Saturday evening and recorded it to watch on Sunday. The episode featured the Greater Vancouver region, and the involvement of South Asian youth in the gang scene locally. The episode was entitled "Warrior Boyz". I wish I had known more about the doc' series years back, as this s...

I'd seen this pizza advertised from anywhere between $3.98 - 6.98 (for the various flavours of the Panebello offerings from Dr. Oetker). I waited for it to go on sale at $3.98, and then used my $1.00 off coupon that was expiring soon to get it for $2.98. Pretty tasty stuff. Shared it with my dad this past Wednesday evening. He enjoyed it as well. Flavourful, decent amount of toppings, and good bang for your pizza-buying buck.  I would buy it again, and I liked the fact that the pizza inside beared resemblance t...

Bought these and really enjoyed them. They make for some tasty burgers, and I've been having them this past week. Burger-style or as part of a toasted sandwich using whole grain bread or warmed Naan bread (which makes for an interesting combo'). Got them on sale at M&M Meats for around $11 or 11.99. There are 8 portions per box, and I'd recommend them to others who may be interested in them. I had my eye on them when I visited the store, and the owner recommended them when I asked for her suggestions and advice ...

Easily one of the worst reality tv show concepts ever. Terrible show. It airs on VH-1 in the States, and on the Slice network in Canada (as they've been airing it now for the past few weeks). The show is lame ... the women will make your stomach turn and have little to no redeeming value, and they're all basically living off the names of their dads and husbands / ex-husbands who are mob-affiliated. It's actually pretty sad how they're all living off their family names and reputations, and basically think they're mob ...

Love this product. I haven't bought it in a few years as they marked up the price quite a bit. It used to be on for $4.99 years back, but has held steady at $8.69 - 8.99 in recent years . Really not a fan of how certain stores and companies have the major price jumps in their goods. What's the deal? (as Seinfeld would say). For example - President's Choice 2.27kg veggie lasagna. It can range from $10 - 14.99 ... why? I had to laugh when I visited Safeway in 2010 and noticed the cereal on for $10.99 (when using your...

I've bought them a handful of times the past few years, and they always turn out well. They are affordable, tasty, and do just that ... "rise" in the oven. Can't go wrong with the pricing too as they can often be found in the $3.47 - 7.79 range, so it's often best to buy them when you see them in the $3.50 - 5 range as that's their overall best price range.   As with alot of pizzas ... just gotta be weary of the fat & sodium content. Not good for the waistline, but definitely a nice treat and very do-able...

Gotta love 'em. I can now see why (recent years) my mom and brother were always big fans of 'em. I've gotten into the habit of eating them fairly regularly in recent years, and find them great in toasted sandwiches. They're good alone ... in salads ... in dips (specifically guacamole) ... in sandwiches, and so on. Often recommended by nutritionists and dieticians for their healthful properties.   How about you? Are you fond of them, or the opposite ... not keen whatsoever?   http://en.wikipedia.org/w...

Really enjoy this product. I got it late-summer of July 2010 at Best Buy. It came to around $80 - 90 after taxes. The main function is just that ... a speaker dock for one's Ipod device, but it also acts as a charger, an alarm clock, and radio (just like most other docks and similar devices). I haven't had any problems with it at all, and pretty much use it daily (home / work). Great for playing music and podcasts (the latter which I'm quite fond of) and the occasional video(s) too. The speakers are also quite decen...

I had seen these crackers in recent years, and always wanted to try them. I held off as they're a small box (150g) and don't go on sale. Long crackers (approx' 10 per box) and they're delicious. I picked up a box yesterday at Superstore for $2.99 ... as I was doing a $40 grocery shop (and was able to use $30 worth of PC Points, and decided to try out a few new items that I wouldn't otherwise buy). I would definitely buy them again. Crunchy, flavourful & relatively healthy. They're from Dare Foods ... under the G...

I've been buying the PC brand - Swedish Crisp Toasts at Superstore for the past year and change. Quite good too. 225g - ranging from $1.99 - 2.49 price-wise ... 70% whole grain. Definitely a good healthy crunchin' snack. They debuted at $2.29 with a $0.30 in-store coupon making them $1.99 last year. I haven't bought them in awhile ... they were up to $2.49 with no coupon. This past weekend the coupons are back, so I bought a few bags. $2.49 minus $0.30 per bag making them $2.19 per. Nice, tasty & health...

Definitely enjoyed the film. Went to see it on Wednesday, February 22nd in downtown Vancouver at the Tinseltown venue. Making sure to maximize savings by using up 2 more of the General Mills free movie coupons (for February 2011 per their promotional campaign).   The actors involved are unfamiliar to most of us, as is the director, but the story is quite captivating (and sad). The film is adapted from the play 'Scorched' from Wajdi Mouawad, and follows the journey taken by two young adults (twin brother and s...

In my honest opinion, one of the better series out there in recent years. Nice to see a quality Canadian program. It airs on the Slice network in Canada, and is hosted by Gail Vaz-Oxlade. The series focus upon assisting a couple who are in debt and having relationship issues. Vaz-Oxlade comes in and over the course of several weeks helps assist them in making smarter choices and puts them through a few challenges in order to win their way towards a possible $5000 (which they can also put towards their debt repayment)...

Glysomed Hand Cream ... quite popular at work with coworkers, as we keep it available for staff. "Clinically-tested, non-animal tested." Good aroma to it, and effective in restoring moisture to hands ... especially during some of the harsher stretches of the fall/winter seasons. Good size to the product at 250ml and lasts a decent while ... and as per the bottle - "Helps to restore moisture leaving the skin noticeably smoother and softer. With Glycerine, Silicone and Chamomile."   2007 Blistex Inc. / Made in ...
