Visited one of their Washington locations earlier in the month of Dec' 2014. We had a late breakfast / early brunch and enjoyed the experience. The restaurant was modestly busy at the time (around 11am or thereafter) and the staffing were all pleasant with customers/diners. Food was pretty tasty too. They offer menu items, as well as their Sunday brunch (at 17.99) so we settled for the latter just to try out a bunch of stuff. The following links lead you to their site & said brunch buffet choices which run ...

Tasty sandwich. Had printed off a coupon for us online (good through January 31st, 2014 - nice to have the wide expiration window) for a B1G1 free offer on various subs from a restaurant/dining section off the Yellow Pages' site when you buy 2 beverages. Picked up 2 of these and 2 mid-sized beverages and enjoyed the sammies. Made sure to load them up with veggies (as with any visit to a Quizno's or Subway) to get more bang for the buck. All in for 2 large subs and 2 bevs came to around $11 or so. I'd rec...

We visited the Hop Jack's location in the Lacey region of Olympia, WA earlier this past week. We had a party of 5 for a weeknight meal, and enjoyed our experience. 3 in the group had been there before, so it was good to take their word for it. If you're familiar with places like Chili's, TGIFriday, Cactus Club, Red Robin & others (aka - pub and casual dining food) ... you'd probably enjoy the food & beverage offerings here too. We stayed for a couple of hours to visit and dine ... and the pla...

Very nice, affordable restaurant. We've been to the Burnaby and Vancouver locations a handful of times with friends and family over the past number of years. Very good lunch and dinner specials, and respectable portion sizes too. We visited the East Vancouver location earlier in the week to treat a family member to lunch on their 82nd birthday. All of our food was tasty ... service was good (acknowledging the person celebrating the birthday and asking them how they were doing & feeling as they aren't in ...

We visited their location in downtown Vancouver last night after 6:30pm (Saturday evening). Dinner party of 3 and we enjoyed our meal, with the other guests having eaten there before. Restaurant was about 60% full at the time ... very polite, courteous staff (engaging with customers & well-run). We had the calamari, moo ping, and spring rolls for appetizers, followed by the green curry (chicken), pad thai, and pad ladna for main courses. We were also able to share portions of our meals with one another to try ou...

Had a small giftcard to Tim Horton's from work. Picked up 2 wraps on Saturday to try them out. They were $1.99 apiece and enjoyable. Good amount of chicken inside ... and a little kick/bite in the flavouring. I hadn't tried them before, and I would probably try them again as they were tasty and I didn't feel as though they were short-changing with the chicken as some other restaurants tend to do. ( The quick write-up from the similar chicken salad wrap at Tim's - "Our own chunky chicken salad recipe made fresh d...

We visited there on Sunday evening for some pub food after being out during the day running errands. The food was tasty & there were plenty of screens showing the Sunday evening NFL game (Detroit/Green Bay). We shared a variety of items, and had a couple of beverages and it came to $40 - 42 total. Server did a good job (as did others in the area) and were attentive & on the ball √ We selected the smaller portions which were on special and not full priced as per the menu listings. - Seafood tacos - Wings -...

Good food. We had dinner for 4 there on Sunday evening (Sept. 10th) and they were quite busy, with many parties arriving after 5:30pm and waiting to be seated. We got there just in time as we were seated immediately. Food was tasty & served promptly. They are located along Boundary Road (along the Burnaby / Vancouver border) in the GVRD. The menu sub-links aren't loading too smoothly here at the moment, but the items we selected were along the lines of the following (with the majority of the menu items priced i...

We had a coupon for a 2-for-$45 meal at The Keg restaurant. We visited the location in Coquitlam, British Columbia on Sunday, August 26th and it went well. The coupon was through a family member who had visited one of the local art galleries in the GVRD. The environment and ambience was good there with low-level lighting. Our server was accompanied by a newer staff member who was "shift shadowing" as he learned on the job. So that was an interesting experience with 2 people coming to your table every time ... one o...

Had one of these on Thursday evening (per a friend's giftcard and offer to pick us up a few snacks later that day). Quite tasty and I would look to buy one again in the future. I've been making my own smoothies and shakes at home since 2005/2006, and I enjoyed this one here as it was priced right (regularly around $2 - 2.79) and plenty flavourful and thick. It passed the brain freeze test (i.e. - milkshakes / smoothies / slurpees / all chilled beverages) with a good score √ * Just be weary of the sugar content. ...

Haven't visited McDonald's in a few years, and a friend had a giftcard to use up and offered to grab us a few items. I opted for a snack wrap and a beverage, and didn't get my hopes up. The wrap itself was pretty lame and didn't feature much content inside. The chicken was alright, and the highlight was probably the way the Chipotle BBQ sauce added a bit of kick to the overall snack. I'd prefer making my own wraps at home, and have over the years (chicken / fish / avocado / tomatoes / onions / etc), but the price was...

Good little pub located along the Burnaby / Vancouver border of Boundary Road in British Columbia. I've been there a few times over the years, and my parents and others have enjoyed the establishment in years past when it was known as Jake O'Grady's. The entrees and appetizers are priced right, although the platters listed seem somewhat steep in price for what they are. We were last there a few months back for an affordable fish and chips special one Sunday evening. Received a coupon of theirs in an Open and Save c...

Nice cafe / restaurant situated in Victoria, British Columbia along the waterfront. Went there for lunch on Friday with my mom and brother, as the 2 of us were in town and she lives walking distance from there. Great walk along the Breakwater as well (and many people were out there braving the cool December breeze off the ocean). My mom had a soup and cornbread. Brother had an egg salad sandwich, and I had a Mexican turnover and small bowl of clam chowder. The food is tasty, albeit a little pricy (came to about $22 -...

Very popular restaurant located on W. 4th Avenue in Vancouver, B.C. They've been around for a number of years, and offer good food at a reasonable price, and are easily accessible as they're in a happening part of town, with many available routes in the region via foot / car / transit. There's a casual atmosphere inside, and the food is rather consistent. I've eaten there about 5 - 6 times in the past 15 years or so. I'd recommend them to any local or visitor from out of town. Check out some of the links I've provi...

Had one of these chicken sandwiches a week and a half ago in Seattle. Very tasty. It came to $4.69, and was just as advertised. Definitely high on the caloric count, but it suited me well as I had a long day ahead of me. We were driving out of Seattle back into B.C. ... and then I was boarding the ferry (1.5 hours), followed by a bus (1 hour) and walking (15 mins) heading over to Victoria, B.C. It tided me over until I had dinner mid-evening that night. I would buy it again, and would certainly stop in there more oft...
