I saw this on sale on since my husband loves cold cereal in the mornings and loves Maple anything, I thought I'd pick this up. I choose the Maple Flavour Nut Cluster variety, 465 grams. I think it regularly costs over $4.00 a box. The calorie content is 220 before you add milk. The cereal states it has 11 grams of protein and is high in vitamin B6 and is very high in fibre. It also states that there's 10% Calcuim and 50% iron per 1 cup serving.  My husband loved it. He added some berries to the cereal...

I recently won this signed book from Goodreads. The American author, Kenneth Chastain, is a former language teacher. I was excited to win this book since I am quite interested in English grammar, spelling and literature. The book is 111 pages long and is intended to bring awareness about proper grammar. The author has sub-divided the book into easy-to-follow headings which are aimed at making students aware of objects and situations around them and how to encorporated the English language into correct grammar. I e...

I was recently shopping at Superstore and found this product on one of their discounted shelves priced at 30% off. I wanted to thoroughly clean all the blinds in my home, especially the kitchen blinds which seem to magical amass quite a bit of dust and grease. Simply dusting them/wiping them down wasn't doing the job and I thought perhaps this product might work. I took the kitchen blinds down and went to the bathtub to spray them down with this product and let them sit awhile to make sure they were fully clean...

I am always looking for a quality hair conditioner that protects my coloured hair colour. I pay a fairly steep price here to get my hair coloured and highlighted and want to take care if it and keep the results I paid for. I saw this product at Superstore and since I am usually pleased with the results of L'Oreal products, I thought I'd give it a try. I followed the directions as listed and afterwards I was quite pleased with the results. My hair was so soft, silky, easy to comb and of course it smelled bea...

We went out for supper last night and decided to try this Greek restaurant which has recently opened up in our city. We both enjoy Greek food and decided to try something we haven't tried before. My husband ordered the Lamb Souvlaki Wrap which had lamb wrapped in a warm pita bread and was garnished with feta cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, lettuce and tzatziki sauce and was served with a side order of crispy golden Opa! Fries. I choose the Low Carb Greek Salad with chicken.  Our...

This is the latest novel written by Stephen King. I'm a big fan of his and was fortunate enough to rent it from our library as soon as it was available there. It's the story of a high school teacher, Jake Epping, who travels back in time to prevent the assignation of President John F Kennedy but his mission to do so is thwarted by Lee Harvey Oswald. Along the way he falls in love and with this time period as it was over 50 years ago but time does not want to be altered and let's Jake know this loud and ...

Sometimes I enjoy a frozen treat but am trying (I stress trying) to eat relatively healthy and watch the calorie intake. I spied these frozen yogourt bars recently at Sobeys and decided to give them a try. I bought them in the strawberry and peach flavours. There's 3% carbohydrates, fat is listed at 2%, sodium is 1%, cholesterol is 5 mgs and there's 2% Vitamin C, 4% Calcuim and each frozen yogourt bar contains only 45 calories. I enjoyed these very much, I found them quite flavourful with small little pieces...

I recently purchased Peek Freens' Lifestyle Cookies, 290 grams, in the Cranberry Citrus Oat Crunch flavour. It says it is a source of fibre, 0 Trans Fat, 0 Cholesterol and Low in Saturated Fat on the front of the box. Three biscuits have 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, 85 mg of sodium, 21 grams of carbohydrates and 2 grams of protein. Ingredients include wheat, oat, soy and milk.  The biscuits have a natural orange flavour and weren't too sweet which I liked. They also contain 2 grams of protein which I a...

I've had our local Legion's restaurant, 'Armoury Grill' suggested to me for a long time now. Last Friday was their 'Steak Night' special so my husband and I headed down to see how it was. I ordered the filet mignon special which gave me a Caesar salad, grilled filet mignon, baked potato and seasoned vegetables at $30.50 while my husband ordered the Top Sirloin steak with the same side orders except that he chose his meal with the Chef's Baked Potatoes Selection of the evening: mixed baby ...
