This is probably 82 year old Robert Redford's final film according to the media. He  plays Forrest Tucker a serial bank robber who has broken out of prison 17 times. Casey Affleck portrays a young detective who is determined to catch him and Sissy Spacek has the female lead as a woman he meets and romances. There are good cameos by Danny Glover and singer Tom Waits as criminal buddies to Redford's character. Their scenes are just wonderful to watch. The script is a tad weak, but seeing all these great a...

"Shazam !" is a superhero type movie largely filmed in the Toronto area. The plot is about a 14 year old foster kid who connects with a wizard and gets super hero abilities. Zachary Levi has the lead role as the adult Shazam and Asher Angel plays him as a kid. The always good Mark Strong plays the villain of the piece who wants to steal SHazam's powers. As you would expect, the special effects & CGI scenes are very well done. I found the movie quite long at just over 2 hours, and it seems to be aim...

Larry Charles is one of the creative minds behind shows such as "Seinfeld" and "Curb Your Enthouiasm". He also directed "Borat" and Bill Maher's "Religulous". He hosts, directed and produced this mini series which is how comedy is looked at in many dangerous places in the world such as Nigeria, Iraq, Somalia and others, He also takes a look at Native American comedians in...

Melissa McCarthy and Richard E Grant star in this well reviewed film from last year. McCarthy plays Lee Isreal, an author in New York who has fallen on hard times. She sells a letter she received from Katharine Hepburn to help make ends meet and decides to start forging letters from well nown deceased literary figures. Grant plays an oddball character Jack Kock, who becomes her accomplice in selling the forgeries. Both actors give really excellent performances and deserve the praise. The movie is based on a real lif...

It leads up to a famous case she won fighting for a single man who was denied benefiits for caring forn his elderly mother, thus eliminating many laws that differentiated between males and females.
