Jesse Eisenberg, Alexander Skarsgard and Salma Hayek are the leads in theis new movie which is in general release currently. Eiseberg & Skarsgard play cousins work for a high frequency stock trading company owned by Hayek. They quit to establish their own super speed internet line from Kansas City to New York to compete with her in a field where sucsess is measured in milliseconds. This is a 2016 British made film which only had a small release in Canada. The movie stars Gemma Arterton, Bill Nighy and Sam Claflin. It take place in 1940, shortly after the British evauation at Dunkirk when the war was going very badly for the Allies. Arterton pays Catrin Cole, a young Welsh girl who is recruited to work at the Ministry of Information film dept. making films to lift peoples spirits. Melissa McCarthy and Richard E Grant star in this well reviewed film from last year. McCarthy plays Lee Isreal, an author in New York who has fallen on hard times. She sells a letter she received from Katharine Hepburn to help make ends meet and decides to start forging letters from well nown deceased literary figures. This is a small Canadian independant film which is a biography of the famous NHL goaltender, Terry Sawchuck. Mark O'Brien plays Terry and his real life wife, Georgina Reilly portrays his long sufferinging wife Pat. The film takes you from Terry growing up poor in Winnipeg in the depression, to his pressure filled years starring with the Detroit Red Wings in the 1950's to his Stanley Cup winning year in Toronto in 1967, then to his declining years with Detroit, LA and the New Yorl Rangers.
